Great place for lunch and tapas. Friendly staff, service was quick when we were there (shortly before peak lunch time). Is located in a quaint little cobblestone street with multiple restaurants. The outside seating faces the street so it's the perfect place for people watching.

La vaca took us by surprise. We have been to other tapas restaurants in the Netherlands, but this one truly felt fresh, delicious, and extremely charming. We loved the deco, the atmosphere, and the service was polite and timely despite being a crowded Friday night. We ordered a series of vegetarian and vegan tapas. Everything was delicious!

the food is absolutely amazing - a must visit when you come to Maastricht! it’s always quite busy, you can’t make a reservation and most tables are small, so I wouldn’t recommend coming with a big group

During the calm morning of Carnaval in Maastricht i sat down in this Taverna and i was welcomed by a very forthcoming waitress.I opted for the Tortilla de patatas. Which was very good. The taste was strong and the presentation was also really good. The bread which came with it was also very soft and high quality.I would definitely recommend coming here to get a little lunch or late breakfast!Only downside was that they did not have the Sopa del dia but that must be a coincidence.
